From planting to bottling, the entire wine-making process occurs on this relatively small plot of land (composed of 33 acres of vineyards, a winery and the owner's home). And by all accounts, the end result is a hit with visitors. One recent TripAdvisor user describes the tour as "much more personal than any other winery visit during our trip. While some of the larger winery tours were more elaborate (and more expensive) none made us feel like we were 'among friends' other than O'Brien." However, the O'Brien Estate Winery asks that you leave underage family members behind to preserve the tranquil adult atmosphere of the place. Most visitors appreciate this statute.
Travelers also appreciate the O'Brien Estate Winery's proximity; it's a convenient 10-minute drive from downtown Napa. Tours and tastings are offered between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Together, they last about an hour and require a reservation. The experience costs $15 per person.
